ABOUT SILULUMANZI
On a daily basis, Silulumanzi provides the delivery of approximately 120 million litres of safe drinking water to satisfy the thirst and needs of approximately 400 000 people within the City of Mbombela Local Municipality. Silulumanzi is a subsidiary of South African Water Works (SAWW), a proudly South African Water utility that has been entrusted to render water services to the City of Mbombela under a 30-year concession contract. Silulumanzi first commenced business in 1999 and has a proud track record in excess of 20 years in the water industry. We employ first world expertise gleaned from its former international shareholders (Sembcorp, Cascal and BiWater).
OUR REACH
The concession is located within the province of Mpumalanga, South Africa, with Mbombela City (Nelspruit) being the capital of the province. It is adjacent to the Kruger National Park and the neighbouring country of Mozambique. Silulumanzi’s concession area covers the city of Mbombela City, and the main Nsikazi townships of Karino, KaNyamazane, Tekwane, Msogwaba and Matsulu.
The service coverage also extends to other peri-urban areas around these townships, such as Zwelisha, Mpakeni and Luphisi. The area is under the jurisdiction of the City of Mbombela Local Municipality.
The concession area covers a total population of approximately 400,000 people.
