SILULUMANZI – STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE

In order to comply with the National Environmental Legislation (National Environmental Management Act, No. 107 of 1998), the Department of Water Affairs promulgated a Regulatory Performance Measurement System in terms of the Water Services Act (Act 108 of 1996), or commonly known as the Blue Drop and Green Drop Certification which applies to the water treatment and distribution systems, sewage treatment and reticulation systems. Since the inception of the Blue & Green Drop Measuring System, we have aimed to comply with all implemented requirements. We have received numerous awards for our treatment plants, including platinum status. It must be noted that the last Blue & Green drop evaluations took place in 2014.

We have not received any indication to date on when this Regulatory Performance Measurement System will be reactivated. As a dedicated quality service provider, we still aim to comply with these regulations, even though the System is no longer active.

We see this as a way to ensure we comply with all regulations and aim to ensure we supply the best quality of service to our clients. If and when the Drop System is reinstated, we will adhere to all requirements and regulations put in place.

Water Quality Services

As an environmentally, quality, and safety-conscious services provider, Silulumanzi emphasises customer satisfaction through the provision of high-quality services and the avoidance of negative environmental impact. We are an organisation with ISO 9001 – Quality Management, ISO 14001 – Environmental Management and ISO 45001 – Health & Safety Management Systems, one of the first water and sanitation companies to get all three standards.
